Description

Artist PSM200 Handbuilt Parlour Acoustic Electric Guitar & Hard CaseInspired by a long lineage of vintage pre-war parlour guitars, the Artist PSM200 represents the synthesis of 21st-century design principles and old-world aesthetics. Meticulously handcrafted by the same team of 5 skilled luthiers who brought the Artist GG1EQ to life, the PSM200 sports a triple-A grade solid Sitka Spruce top alongside stunningly grained solid African Mahogany along the back and sides, yielding the harmonically balanced tone this combination is renowned for: subtle compression with sparkling overtones and a tight low-end ‘punch’.In concert with European Spruce and African Mahogany bracing, every tonewood on the PSM200 has been carefully selected to ensure a complementary effect on the resulting tone. With a5-piece Mahogany neck that seamlessly meets an Ebony fingerboard, the PSM200’s 20 frets, crafted from a tough 25% nickel mix, promise superior wear resistance and playability over time.Dressed to the nines in a smoky vintage burst finish, this one exudesvintage mojo, bolstered by the inclusion of aslotted headstockusually found on the kind of pre-wartwelve-fret acoustic guitars that are whispered of in reverent tones. Not purely aesthetic, this style of headstock provides a greater break angle that exerts more downward tension on the PSM200s lubricated bone nut for increased sustain and resonance. With the neck joining the body at the fourteenth fret, the PSM200 nods its head to these sought-after models while still offering the range of playability up the neck that the modern guitarist has come to expect. An Ebony bridge, bone saddle, and high-ratio, vintage-style Der Jung tuning machines are the final touches that bring this one home, keeping the PSM200 singing until this vintage-inspired parlour guitar truly becomes that which it aims to evoke. This one might come out of the hard case looking brand new, but ityearns to be played until it wears a scar or two, taking on a life of its own in the ailing light of the nameless bars across the world that witness its song. The Tech FeaturesBodyBack & Sides Material:Solid African MahoganyBack & Sides Finish:GlossBody Shape:ParlourBinding:MapleTopTop Material:Solid AAA Sitka SpruceTop Finish:Gloss Vintage BurstPurfling:MapleRosette:White Shell & MapleBracing:European Spruce and African MahoganyBridge Material:EbonyNeckNeck Material:MahoganyNeck Construction:Five PieceNeck Joint:Dove-TailNeck Finish:GlossScale Length:648mm / 25.5″Fretboard Material:African EbonyFretboard Radius:400mmNumber of Frets:20 FretsFret Material:25% NickelNut Material:Lubricated BoneNut Width:42mm / 1.65″Position Inlays:White ShellDotsBinding:MapleSide Dots:White ShellDotsTruss Rod:Dual Action 2-WayHardware & ElectronicsPreamp:Fishman INK 401Saddle:BoneMachine Heads:Der JungPickguard:N/AMiscellaneous/Special FeaturesStrings:D’Addario EXP16Weight:1.8-2.3kg / 4-5lbsAccessoriesIncluded Accessories:Artist CC300 Hard Case, 9V Battery, Truss Rod Adjustment KeyOptional Hard Cases:N/AOptional Soft Bags:HGBAG42(18604)Reviews (2) Write a reviewA truly beautiful acoustic electric guitarBy: Peter Gaias on 21 September 2025 My PSM200 was delivered only five days ago and I am very happy that I bought it as it was one of the last two in stock. It is a beautiful hand made guitar and in comparison to other brands I have played it has proven to be an excellent buy. Last year I bought the Artist GG1EQ and was impressed with its handmade quality. The PSM200 suits me being a parlor guitar and I have found it very comfortable to play. It has a pleasant tone, accurate intonation and clear harmonics when I played it unplugged. I am enjoying playing it and is now my preferred instrument. Well done Artist Guitars. Great value for the priceArtist Guitars Response Thanks for your review! Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions. Love It.By: Steve Gibson on 31 August 2025 Beautiful!I returned another lovely Artist guitar to buy this one, and it was hard to part with.Artist Guitars made the return dead easy. This is a beautiful guitar to look at and to play.I’m not sure what to say about it without quoting from theon the website. I think it is a very accurate product .I find myself wanting to pick it up all the time and since I got it, I only swap between this and a very nice vintage Guild dreadnought. They play very different roles.I find it very well suited for fingerstyle now that I have somewhat adapted to a smaller guitar.I am very much looking forward to hearing it open up over the years.I genuinely think that this one is a keeper.Great work Artist Guitars, I hope you can always maintain this high standard of design, construction and service.Artist Guitars Response Thanks so much for the beautiful review, Steve! We’re thrilled the PSM200 has found a special place in your rotation alongside your vintage Guild. It’s great to hear how well it suits your fingerstyle playing, and we’re honoured you consider it a keeper. We’ll keep striving to meet that high bar you’ve set, your support means the world to us.
