It’s lighter than my DW beaters, but the shape means I haven’t lost any power. I’m getting a nice, full sound. I haven’t had a chance to record with it yet, but I’m looking forward to hearing the results. None of the faces sit totally flush against the head, but that hasn’t been a problem and I imagine it will being to mold and reshape with use. Overall, I’m happy with this beater. Got this beater and what a huge difference! It not only feels better, but it sounds great. Such a big, fat sound. Pushes a lot of air. An easy way to make your bass drum sound better.
