Takada-M – Product Information Claude Debussy’s beautiful and flowing “Arabesque I” masterfully arranged for solo marimba by Naoko Takada. This piece sounds as if the original work was written for marimba! A great study of classical literature for solo marimba. This would be ideal to include as a classical work on a recital or jury! Comments: Very challenging solo, stickings are all written in, beautiful transcription shows off the range of any 5-octave marimba, can’t wait to perform this one. Also, one of the hardest pieces I’ve tried to learn. At least a 5. Date Posted: 2012-03-17 21:46:37 Posted By: Percussionist Rating: 5.00 Impeccable! Comments: I was first turned on to this arrangement by catching it on youtube. You can find a vid of Naoko playing it herself. I’m very familiar with the piano piece and I could swear she left not a single note out the transcription. So I got the music, and it’s a joy to play. Fantastic!
