Description

Full View Full Thermally aged spruce for enhanced toneAt the heart of the Epiphone Hummingbird Deluxe EC is a thermally aged solid spruce top, designed to replicate the tonal benefits of years of natural wood ageing. This process removes moisture and impurities, resulting in a lightweight, resonant top that produces a louder, more vibrant sound with improved dynamic response. The tonal character is rich and full, with strong projection and a beautifully open midrange that lends itself well to both strumming and fingerstyle. Combined with traditional scalloped X-bracing crafted from quarter-sawn solid spruce, the top maintains stability while allowing the wood to breathe and vibrate freely, enhancing the guitar’s responsiveness and tonal clarity.Solid rosewood for rich lows and sparkling highsThe use of solid rosewood for the back and sides sets this model apart from many others in its class. Rosewood is renowned for its deep, complex bass response and shimmering high-end overtones, giving the Hummingbird Deluxe EC a refined tonal balance that complements its aged spruce top perfectly. From playing intricate lead passages or bold open chords, this tonewood combination ensures a wide tonal spectrum that responds with character and depth. It’s this pairing that elevates the Deluxe model beyond the standard Hummingbird, offering a fuller and more articulate sound suited to both live performance and recording environments.Cutaway design for upper fret accessA key enhancement to this deluxe edition is the addition of a Venetian-style cutaway, giving you clear and comfortable access to the upper frets. This design allows for greater versatility, particularly for lead players or those who explore more melodic work further up the neck. If you’re crafting solos, embellishing chord progressions, or laying down complex fingerpicking, the cutaway body allows complete upper fret freedom. Combined with a 24.75-inch scale and a one-piece mahogany neck shaped into a comfortable Rounded C profile, this beauty is made to deliver peak playability.Stage-ready electronics with premium protectionFitted with the L.R. Baggs VTC Bronze pickup system, the Hummingbird Deluxe EC delivers rich, natural-sounding amplified tone, faithful to its unplugged voice. The discrete soundhole-mounted controls for volume and tone offer quick access without detracting from the guitar’s clean aesthetic. From gigging or hitting the studio, this pickup ensures clarity and dynamic accuracy. To complete the package, Epiphone includes the new Protector Ultralite case, inspired by Gibson’s vintage Red Line designs. This hybrid case combines lightweight portability with solid protection, offering a plush-lined interior and handy storage for accessories—perfect for keeping your instrument safe while travelling or gigging.Specifications Product Name: Epiphone Hummingbird Deluxe EC, Natural Product Code: ECHBDECNAGH1Body Shape: Hummingbird EC Top: Thermally aged solid spruce Back & Sides: Solid rosewood Bracing: Traditional X-bracing; scalloped, quarter-sawn solid spruce Binding: 6-ply top, 4-ply back, single-ply fretboard and headstockNeck & Fretboard Neck: One-piece genuine mahogany Profile: Rounded C Scale Length: 24.75″ / 628.65 mm Nut Width: 1.73″ / 43.815 mm Fingerboard: Ebony Number of Frets: 20 Inlay: Mother of pearl split parallelogramHardware & Electronics Bridge: Gibson ebony reverse belly Nut & Saddle: Bone Tuners: Grover Rotomatic, gold Pickguard: Acrylic-celluloid sandwich with gold-etched Hummingbird graphic Plating: Gold Electronics: L.R.
