Fender Contemporary Stratocaster ® Special, Roasted Maple Fingerboard, Black Pickguard, Sky Burst Metallic

Description

The Squier® Contemporary Stratocaster® Special brings modern features and bold aesthetics to an iconic Fender platform to satisfy today’s most discerning and daring players. At the heart of this guitar is a set of Squier SQR™ alnico single-coil pickups positioned in a “special” configuration with the middle pickup near the bridge pickup for a unique variety of dynamically responsive settings. The roasted maple neck was chosen for its optimal tone and stability, and a sculpted heel design allows for improved access all the way to the 22nd fret. High-performance components round out the feature list and include a 2-point tremolo bridge for superior feel during bends, and a set of sealed-gear tuning machines with split shafts for smooth tuning action and easy restringing. Eye-catching styling cues include stealthy black hardware and a sleek painted headstock with chrome logos for a premium look.FEATURESSquier SQR™ alnico single-coil pickupsModern 2-point tremolo bridge with block saddlesRoasted maple neckSculpted neck heelPainted headstock with chrome logosSQUIER® SQR™ ALNICO SINGLE-COIL PICKUPSThese Squier single-coil pickups produce crisp, articulate tone for a wide variety of styles.ROASTED MAPLE NECKWith an articulate tone, optimal stability and a deep, rich color, roasted maple is a premium neck material.SEALED DIE-CAST TUNING MACHINES WITH SPLIT SHAFTSSealed die-cast tuning machines have a smooth action for accurate tuning, and the split shafts make changing strings a breeze.MODERN 2-POINT TREMOLO BRIDGEThis Stratocaster features a two-point tremolo bridge for smooth, superior tremolo action.SCULPTED NECK HEELThis guitar is designed with a sculpted neck heel for improved access to the upper frets.12“ FINGERBOARD RADIUSThis fingerboard radius allows for low action and is especially well-suited to bending notes and soloing.BODYBody MaterialPoplarBody ShapeStratocaster®Body FinishGloss PolyurethaneNECKNeck MaterialRoasted MapleNeck FinishSatin Urethane with Gloss Urethane Headstock FaceNeck Shape”C” ShapeScale Length25.5″ (648 mm)Fingerboard MaterialRoasted MapleFingerboard Radius12″ (305 mm)Number of Frets22Fret SizeJumboNut MaterialGraphiteNut Width1.650″ (42 mm)Position InlaysBlack DotTruss RodHead AdjustELECTRONICSBridge PickupSquier® SQR™ Alnico Single-CoilMiddle PickupSquier® SQR™ Alnico Single-CoilNeck PickupSquier® SQR™ Alnico Single-CoilControlsMaster Volume, Master ToneSwitching5-Position Blade, Special Switching: Position 1.
