Gibson Rex Brown Thunderbird Electric Bass Guitar Ebony

Description

Gibson is thrilled to introduce the Rex Brown Thunderbird Electric Bass. The signature instrument of Pantera’s legendary bassist, Rex Brown, is a thunderous bass built for dishing out the hardest-hitting low end. Its mahogany body and neck provide a muscular tone that cuts through the mix, while a pair of Rexbucker T-Bird pickups deliver bone-rattling output. Active electronics give you complete control over your sound with the twist of a knob.Rexbucker T-Bird Pickups: High-Output Aggression The Gibson Rex Brown Thunderbird packs a one-two punch with its Rexbucker T-Bird pickups. These active humbuckers produce a huge, aggressive tone that retains articulation and focus. With the pull of a pot, you can switch the pickups to passive mode for a warmer, vintage vibe. The Thunderbird’s electronics also include a three-band EQ for shaping your tone and a master volume control.Modern Playability, Timeless Style While the Rex Brown Thunderbird has a look that harkens back to the original Thunderbird of the 1960s, its playability is thoroughly modern. Its slim, fast mahogany neck sports a rosewood fretboard with dot inlays. The Thunderbird’s iconic body shape is complemented by gold hardware, including a rock-solid Hipshot bridge. Rex Brown’s signature on the truss rod cover and an abstract doodle on the backplate further personalize this beast of a bass.Road-Ready and Built to Last As Rex Brown’s signature model, the Thunderbird is built to handle the rigors of the road. Its sturdy mahogany construction provides stability and sustain, while a hardshell case protects your investment when transporting it between shows. For bassists seeking an instrument with classic style, bone-rattling tone and modern playability, the Gibson Rex Brown Thunderbird bass delivers. Pick up your Gibson Rex Brown Thunderbird from today.
