Standard Series models embody nearly two centuries of craftsmanship and technique — history made from wood and wire. These legendary guitars and the artists who played them helped establish country, folk, bluegrass, and rock. Today, you’ll hear their ringing tone echoing across the American soundscape and in music around the world. This 000-28 features scalloped X-bracing, herringbone trim and antique white binding, offering a bold, complex tone and timeless style. Sitka spruce and East Indian rosewood pair with a sleek modified low-oval neck for a feel you won’t want to put down and comfort that means you won’t need to.HISTORY YOU CAN PLAY.These classics are handmade in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, from solid wood, using time-honored construction such as dovetail neck joints and X-bracing. If you want to play an American classic with a long, distinguished pedigree, a guitar your musical heroes likely used to create your favorite songs, an instrument whose impact on music is far too big to be calculated, a Standard Series is for you.ICONICFrom Eric Clapton’s 000-28 to Johnny Cash’s D-35 these models are as legendary as the artists who played them.LEGENDARY TONEMartin knows great tone. It is embedded in every instrument they make. And it has its roots in the Standard Series.PLAYABILITYWith a high-performance neck, Standard Series models are made for enhanced playability and comfort.HEIRLOOM QUALITYMartin guitars are built to last and just like the family business they will be passed down from generation to generation.HANDCRAFTEDSince 1833 Martin has been hand-crafting guitars and that tradition continues today. Every Standard Series guitar passes through the hands of master luthiers with centuries of collective experience.SPECIFICATIONSOVERVIEWBODY SIZE: 000-14 FretFINISH TOP: GlossCONSTRUCTION: Dovetail Neck JointBACK AND SIDE FINISH: GlossBRACING PATTERN: X-BraceSCALE LENGTH: 24.9″BRACE SHAPE: ScallopedFINGERBOARD WIDTH AT NUT: 1 3/4”TOP MATERIAL: Sitka SpruceNECK SHAPE: Modified Low OvalBACK MATERIAL: East Indian RosewoodNECK TAPER: High-Performance TaperSIDE MATERIAL: East Indian RosewoodELECTRONICS: NoTOPTOP COLOR: Aging TonerBRIDGE STYLE: Modern Belly – Drop in SaddleBINDING: Antique WhiteBRIDGE STRING SPACING: 2 5/32″TOP INLAY MATERIAL: Bold HerringboneBRIDGE MATERIAL: EbonyTOP DETAIL: NoneBRIDGE PIN MATERIAL: White PlasticPICKGUARD: Tortoise PatternBRIDGE PIN DOTS: Faux TortoisePICKGUARD INLAY: NoneSADDLE: Compensated BoneROSETTE: Multi-StripeSADDLE RADIUS: 16″MISCCASE: Molded HardshellLEFT HANDED AVAILABILITY: trueLABEL: NonePLEKED: trueBODYBRACE MATERIAL: Sitka SpruceBACK AND SIDES COLOR: NoneBRACE SIZE: 5/16″BACK DETAIL: NoneBACK PURFLING/STRIP: Style 28BACK INLAY MATERIAL: Multi-StripeHEELCAP: Antique WhiteSIDE DETAIL: NoneENDPIECE: Antique WhiteSIDE INLAY MATERIAL: NoneENDPIECE INLAY: Multi-StripeNECKNECK MATERIAL: Select HardwoodFINGERBOARD MATERIAL: EbonyFINISH NECK: SatinFINGERBOARD WIDTH AT 12TH FRET: 2 1/8”NECK COLOR: Dark MahoganyFINGERBOARD INLAY STYLE: Diamonds and Squares Long PatternNUMBER OF FRETS TOTAL: 20FINGERBOARD INLAY MATERIAL: AbaloneNECK JOINS BODY AT: 14th FretFINGERBOARD BINDING MATERIAL: NoneSIDE DOTS: WhiteHEADSTOCKHEADSTOCK SHAPE: Solid with Square Taper and DiamondTUNING MACHINES: Nickel Open GearHEADPLATE MATERIAL: East Indian RosewoodKNOB: ButterbeanHEADPLATE LOGO STYLE: Script Old Style OverlayNUT MATERIAL: BoneHEADPLATE BINDING MATERIAL: NoneHEADPLATE DETAIL: NoneMartin 000-28 Acoustic Guitar– At Large Inc.® Musical Instruments & Pro Audio
