Drawing inspiration from the Renaissance Lute, which graced Europe during the 16th and 17th centuries, this Tenor-sized ukulele boasts a 430 mm (17 inches) scale and features six strings. The second (E) and third (C) strings are doubled, delivering a rich, full, and balanced tone. Despite its unique design, it is played like any standard 4-string ukulele.
Crafted with a European spruce soundboard, the Lute-kulele™ showcases the iconic Leonardo Knot rosette, a beloved feature among Renaissance lute makers. The back is constructed in the traditional lute-making style, using alternating staves of sheesham (Dalbergia sissoo) and lacewood (Platanus orientalus). The neck and pegbox are made from solid sheesham, complemented by a cattle-bone nut with a width of 37 mm (1 1/2 inch).
