And with lightweight, compact design, you’re limitless, unstoppable, and ready to make outstanding music.Premium Sapele constructionTaylor’s layered Sapele construction combines three layers of wood – two veneers of Sapele enclosing a core of poplar. This composition, while not as complex as solid woods, offers a blend of exotic aesthetics and durability resistant to varying climate conditions. While the rich, unmatched tones of solid wood are distinctive, layered wood can still deliver excellent sound, making it a beautiful, robust, and affordable choice for musical instruments. Layered Sapele’s unique advantage lies in its resilience against fluctuating humidity, making it ideal for travel-friendly guitars that are often exposed to diverse environments. Moreover, all Taylor layered-wood models, including the GS Mini Sapele, feature a solid wood top to enhance the tonal response, ensuring quality sound production.Sitka Spruce topSitka spruce, hailing from Canada, has established itself as the modern standard for guitar soundboards, fitted to 85-90 percent of Taylor’s guitars. Its unique blend of strength and flexibility results in an expansive dynamic range that delivers distinct articulation. This makes it perfect for diverse playing techniques, from vigorous strumming and flatpicking to delicate fingerpicking. It’s no surprise that Sitka spruce is Bob Taylor’s top choice for crafting a universally outstanding guitar. When it comes to the Taylor GS Mini Sapele, the incorporation of Sitka spruce not only enhances the instrument’s sound quality but also makes it suitable for all kinds of guitar styles and players.Protection includedAn instrument of such class needs protecting.
