Instrumental Music and Song of the Are’are” People of Malaita.” From the island of Malaita, in the eastern part of the Solomon Islands, the “Are’are” people present a core of their musical arts through 37 performances from panpipe ensembles, solo and duet stamping tubes, wooden slit drum ensembles, and six vocal compositions.
