Description

#html-body [data-pb-style=JDYUBPB]Originally launched in 2015, Revstar was the first new electric guitar series from Yamaha in over a decade. A completely new lineup for 2022 offers three tiers, chambered bodies on every model, new racing-inspired finishes, new switching options, and left-handed models. The RSS20 features six finish options, a chambered body and carbon-reinforced neck, dual humbucking pickups, 5-way switching, and a passive Focus Switch, providing exceptional versatility.CHAMBERED BODIESEvery new Revstar features a chambered body designed with Yamaha’s Acoustic Design process to sculpt tone and increase resonance while reducing weight and optimising balance.5-WAY SWITCHINGStandard and Professional models offer 5-way switching. In positions 2 and 4, our circuit slightly delays the opposite pickup for a new take on classic “in between” sounds.FOCUS SWITCHThe push/pull Focus Switch on Standard and Professional models activates a passive boost that darkens highs while increasing bass and mids for an effect like overwound pickups.CARBON REINFORCEMENT (Standard and Professional models only)Revstar Standard and Professional models feature carbon-reinforced necks. Professional models also add carbon reinforcement to the body for weight relief, vibration transfer, and tone shaping.DRY SWITCHRevstar Element models feature our push/pull Dry Switch high-pass filter circuit that was first introduced with the original Revstar series.INITIAL RESPONSE ACCELERATION (I.R.A.)Revstar Professional guitars receive Yamaha’s I.R.A. treatment process which applies specifics vibrations to release stresses in the instrument for a “played in” tone.Spec:Construction Set-inScale Length 24-3/4″ (628.6mm)Body MaterialsTop: MapleBack: Chambered MahoganyBody Finish Gloss PolyurethaneNeck Materials3pc Mahogany,Carbon ReinforcementNeck Finish Satin PolyurethaneFingerboard Materials RosewoodFingerboard Radius 12″ (304.8mm)Fret Wire Jumbo Stainless SteelNumber of Frets 22Neck Width @0 Fret / 12th Fret 41.9 / 56.8 mmThickness @1st Fret / 12th Fret 21.0 / 23.9 mmNut Materials High-Strength PPSNeck Pickup VH5n (Humbucker / Alnico V)Bridge Pickup VH5b (Humbucker / Alnico V)ControlsMaster Volume, Master Tone(Push-Pull “Focus Switch”)Pickup Switch 5-Position Lever SwitchBridge Tune-O-MaticString spacing 10.5 mmTailpiece StopbarTuning Machines Die-CastPickguard 3-ply (Cream or Black)String gauge Elixir Nanoweb Light / 0.010-0.046Case Gig BagYamaha Revstar Gen2 Standard HB Guitar – Sonic Blue
