PRS John Mayer SE Silver Sky in Stone Blue, Maple Neck – Andertons Music Co

Description

The SE Silver Sky is a familiar iteration of the original Silver Sky model that was first introduced with John Mayer in 2018. This workhorse guitar provides ample tone and playability in four distinct colors, delivering looks, feel, and sound.Strongly resembling Mayer’s USA Core model with its elegant double-cutaway body, inverted PRS headstock and trio of single-coil pickups — the PRS SE Silver Sky is a versatile workhorse designed to provide similarly exquisite tones and familiar playability, but at a far more accessible price-point.Key FeaturesPoplar Body— Often likened to Alder, Poplar is comparably balanced in sound with a slightly lighter feel.Bolt-On Construction— Produces a snappy note response for an immediate playing experience.25.5″ Scale Length— Provides optimal string tension; letting you dig in for funky “New Light”-style chords while allowing for soulful, expressive string bends.Maple Neck with Original ‘635JM’ Carve— Based on the same custom neck shape used for Mayer’s USA Silver Sky. According to Lee Anderton, PRS “nailed” it! Features a satin-style finish for a natural playing feel.8.5″ Fingerboard Radius— Offers a slightly flatter and more contemporary feel than the vintage-inspired 7.25″ radius on the Core Silver Sky.635JM “S” Pickups— Designed to capture the sound of the single-coils in the USA Silver Sky, these pickups “bark and sing” according to PRS!5-Way Pickup Switching— Provides a wide sonic palette; letting you isolate each pickup or combine the middle single-coil with the bridge/neck pickups for those classic “in-between” tones.2-Point Steel Tremolo— A reliable bridge that enables smooth vibrato whenever inspiration strikes.Vintage-Style Tuners— Possess a classy, traditional look and allow for precise string pitching.Included PRS SE Gig Bag— High-quality design ensures solid protection for the instrument.TonewoodsThe PRS SE Silver Sky starts with a poplar body, bolt-on maple neck, and rosewood fretboard with PRS trademark bird inlays. The 22-fret, 25.5” scale length neck features the original 635JM carve and an 8.5” fretboard radius, so the PRS SE Silver Sky will feel right at home.Quality HardwarePlug it in, and the three single-coil 635JM “S” pickups will bark and sing. This guitar is anchored by a two-point steel tremolo, synthetic bone nut, and vintage-style tuners. Other design features include the PRS Silver Sky inverted headstock shape and the PRS double-acting truss rod (accessible from the front of the headstock for ease of use).SpecificationsBodyBody Construction SolidbodyBody Wood PoplarNeckNumber of Frets 22Scale Length 25.5”Neck Wood MapleNeck Construction Multi-PlyTruss Rod PRS Double-ActingNeck Shape 635JMFretboard WoodMapleFretboard Radius 8.5”Fretboard Inlay Small BirdsHeadstock Logo Signature “SE”Neck/Body AssemblyNBA Type Bolt-OnHardwareBridge 2-Point Steel TremoloTuners Vintage-StyleHardware Type NickelNut Synthetic BoneElectronicsTreble Pickups 635JM “S”Bass Pickups 635JM “S”Controls Volume and Two Tone Controls with 5-Way Blade Pickup SwitchAdditional InformationStrings PRS Classic 10-46Tuning Standard (6 String): E-A-D-G-B-ECase Gig BagPRS John Mayer SE Silver Sky in Stone Blue, Maple Neck – Andertons Music Co
